Objectives and Key Results, also known as OKRs, have become very popular for improving company performance. OKRs are an effective way to measure progress towards achieving your business goals.

It's a simple framework that allows you to focus on the big picture while still being able to track daily activities. OKRs help you stay focused on the bigger picture by helping you break down tasks into smaller steps. They also allow you to measure your success against a larger goal.

This simplicity and clarity attract many people to OKRs. It’s what also allows rapid iteration and ease of communication.

Like the rules for writing poetry, the rules for writing OKRs distill thoughts to increase their power. Good OKRs follow a simple set of rules to be most effective. In this video, I’ll explain the characteristics of good objectives and key results.
